Ideal home finale for Nacer

Mon 18 May 2015, 12:45|Tottenham Hotspur

Nacer Chadli was left to reflect on a perfect day against Hull – a win, a goal and a positive home send off for the season for our fans at White Hart Lane.

The Belgian international made it 13 goals in all competitions and 11 in the Premier League with a well-crafted and sublimely-taken opening goal in the second half against the Tigers.

Erik Lamela spotted Nacer’s run in behind Hull’s defensive line and he took the ball in his stride, skipped around Steve Harper and slotted home.

Danny Rose soon volleyed home for 2-0 and we saw out some late resistance to claim the victory.

Nacer’s first goal was always going to be key against a Hull side scrapping for survival. “I made the run, the pass was good, I managed to dribble around the goalkeeper and finish it well,” said Nacer.

“We had to bounce back after Stoke, we know we didn’t play well last week but this time we managed to play much better in front of our fans and it was nice to be able to finish like that with the fans there to support us.

“I was pleased to score one more time and there is still a game to go, we really want to win that one as well and hopefully I’ll get another goal.”
