Clive Allen will take a reserve squad to the prestigious Hong Kong Sevens on May 25-27.

The seven-a-side event - full title the HKFC Philips Lighting International Soccer 7s - has attracted entrants from all over the world for its Main and Masters Tournaments.

Teams involved include Arsenal, Celtic, PSV Eindhoven, Aston Villa, Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa and Sheffield FC, not Wednesday or United, but the oldest football club in the world, formed in 1857, who celebrated promotion from the NCE Premier Division to the Unibond First Division last season in their 150th year!

We have been drawn in Group B against PSV, Hong Kong side Kitchee and Sheffield FC and will play all three games on Saturday May 26.

Teams play each other once in the group with games lasting seven minutes each way. The top two from each of the four groups then progress to the quarter-finals, with teams finishing in the bottom two of their groups going into a Plate competition.

Clive is taking a strong squad including Andy Barcham and Phil Ifil, who both started for the first team last season, Lee Barnard and Jamie O'Hara, both regular squad members.

Squad: Forecast, Archibald-Henville, Mills, Ifil, Daniels, O'Hara, Maghoma, Hutton, Barnard, Barcham.
