Our Academy squad finished third overall in the prestigious Eurofoot Tournament in Belgium over the weekend.
The lads picked themselves up from the heartbreak of a semi-final defeat on penalties against West Ham to beat Anderlecht 2-0 in the third/fourth play-off.
Alex McQueen and Darren McQueen struck the goals to secure third.
In the semi-final, West Ham opened the scoring just before half-time - matches played over two 25-minute halves - before Daniel Akindayini equalised.
Filip Lesniak, Emmanuel Sonupe, Akindayini and Alex McQueen all scored from the spot but the Hammers edged the shoot-out 5-4.

SATURDAY ACTION
The lads completed the group stages unbeaten - and without conceding a goal in five matches - with a 1-0 win over Zulte Waregem and goalless draws against Cercle Brugge and Standard Liege.
William Miller struck the all-important goal against Zulte Waregem.

FRIDAY'S ACTION
The lads kicked-off the prestigious event held over three days with a goalless draw against French side Valenciennes FC.
However, they followed up with an impressive 4-0 victory against Danish side Nordsjaelland.
With matches played over two 25-minute halves, Kyle Walker-Peters opened the scoring in the 14th minute, quickly followed by Darren McQueen for a 2-0 lead at the break.
Anthony Georgiou made it 3-0 after 43 minutes and Daniel Akindayini completed the scoring in injury time.
