Michael Dawson was quickly thinking about the fans after Sunday's key 2-1 win in the North London derby.
The skipper threw his shirt into the crowd in the Park Lane end on the final whistle - a gesture followed by a number of his team-mates.
Players and fans alike were overjoyed at a key win in the Premier League.
Quickfire goals from Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon put us in control at 2-0 up at half-time.
Per Mertesacker reduced arrears at the start of the second half but we had the better chances after that until two late efforts from the Gunners had home fans skipping a heartbeat, but nothing more.
Michael was outstanding alongside Jan Vertonghen and a defensive unit that stayed strong, despite Arsenal's clever passing play around the box and later pressure with Mertesacker pushed up front.
Michael knew what it meant to everyone connected with Spurs - not least after what had happened at the Emirates in November.
Since then, we've lost just one of 16 matches in the Premier League and we sit in third place on a run of 12 matches unbeaten and four wins on the trot.
"It's massive to win any North London derby," said Michael.
"I'm sure all our fans will have gone home happy and they will be looking forward to going into work on Monday. It wasn't quite like that after the match at the Emirates.
"You savour these moments, beating your rivals and enjoy the moment. We certainly did out there. You could say it’s just another three points – it is – but it’s against our rivals.
"We have a great squad, a great team and we showed that. It probably wasn't our best performance, we didn't keep the ball like we know we can but we showed great determination and grit and we got the three points we deserved.
"There is a long way to go in the Premier League, 10 huge games, 10 cup finals and we’ll try to get as many points as we can to try and get into the Champions League."
