LADS MARK EA SPORTS PARTNERSHIP WITH SPECIAL EVENT AT GRAND CENTRAL STATION

The lads celebrated the launch of our partnership with EA SPORTS™ with a special preview of FIFA 13 at the iconic Grand Central Station in New York on Monday.
We recently announced a three-year partnership with Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) that will make EA SPORTS™ our Official Video Game Partner.
The squad gathered for a special FIFA 13 tournament in the Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Station which, accordinging to travel magazine Time & Leisure, is the sixth most-visited tourist attraction in the world, bringing in over 21.5m visitors annually.
It's also the largest train station in the world in terms of platforms - 44 - and seen in so many films over the years, The Untouchables, Men In Black, Midnight Run and Carlito's Way to name just a few.
On this occasion though, Tottenham Hotspur and EA SPORTS were the main attraction as bypassers stopped to watch EA SPORTS conducting 3D head scans of the players on a giant screen in the Valderbilt Hall to capture high-quality and authentic 3D digital player models for future versions of the FIFA videogame.
And then there was the FIFA 13 tournament...
Sixteen players took part with matches played over eight minutes and the pre-tournament favourites including Gareth Bale, Adam Smith and Kyle Naughton.
However, Gareth was eliminated by David Bentley in the first round and then Adam lost out to Kyle Naughton in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, Tom Carroll quietly went about his business to reach the final and then beat Kyle 1-0 to take top honours!
EA SPORTS/TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Over the course of the partnership, Tottenham Hotspur and EA will develop a range of initiatives to entertain and engage fans both at White Hart Lane and more widely across their media channels.
This includes exclusive videos featuring the players, the ability for fans to predict match outcomes using the EA SPORTS game engine, and exclusive tournament footage taken from the club’s Training Centre to determine the best FIFA 13 player in the squad.
In addition, EA SPORTS will create a special Tottenham Hotspur game packaging sleeve for FIFA 13, which fans will be able to download from the club website (www.tottenhamhotspur.com) prior to the games launch.
At selected home matches over the course of the season, the EA SPORTS Dugout, a mobile gaming trailer, will be on-site so fans can play EA SPORTS games.
