DOMINIC HAS A BALL FOR NORTHERN IRELAND U19S!

Posted 16 October 2012 10:42am

Dominic Ball scored four goals as Northern Ireland hammered Moldova 8-1 in the final match of the qualifying round for the European U19 Championship on Monday.

The midfielder grabbed a hat-trick in the first half and his fourth goal on the hour at Shamrock Park, Portadown.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to progress to the Elite qualifying stage of the competition as the Irish youngsters lost out to Greece.

They needed Greece to beat Czech Republic in the final round of matches but a Czech win saw Northern Ireland and Greece level on points - and Greece through on the head-to-head rule having beaten Northern Ireland on Friday.

Dominic's Spurs Academy team-mate Aaron McEneff also started.
