Hossam Ghaly
Egyptian international midfielder joined us from Feyenoord in January, 2006.
Had to wait until September, 2006 for his debut and what a debut - against Manchester United at Old Trafford!
Hossam impressed in that game and went on to make 34 appearances in all competitions in 2006-07, scoring important goals against Besiktas in the UEFA Cup and Chelsea in the FA Cup.
African Nations Cup winner in 2001 and twice Egyptian champion with Al Ahly NSC, Hossam spent the second half of the 2007-08 season on loan to Derby County, where he made 16 appearances.
