Heurelho Gomes
Goalkeeper joined us from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven in July 2008 and has become an instant hit with our fans.
Despite a difficult start to his career in English football, the goalkeeper missed just six games of the 2008-09 campaign, playing a key role in us conceding just 10 goals at home in the league all season.
Memorable contributions during his maiden campaign included wonder saves from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Frank Lampard, and Jimmy Bullard.
As a result of his fine form, Gomes earned his first call-up to the Brazilian national squad for the first time in nearly three years in May 2009.
Born in Minas Gerais, he arrived at White Hart Lane having won four Dutch titles in succession with PSV, reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2004-05.
Gomes made his name at Cruzeiro in Brazil, debuting in 2002 before securing his move to Holland in 2004.
