UEFA Youth League - how we stand

Wed 06 December 2017, 10:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-19s host APOEL on matchday six in the group stage of the UEFA Youth League this afternoon (Wednesday 6 December, 2pm).

Currently top of Group H on 10 points, one point ahead of Borussia Dortmund, we are already assured of a place in at least the play-off round, but victory at Hotspur Way today would cement top spot and an automatic place in the last 16 in February.

Alternatively, matching Dortmund’s result away to Real Madrid would see us remain top of the group.

The eight group winners will progress straight to the round of 16 while the eight runners-up will go into the play-offs.

The play-offs will see the runners-up drawn in a one-off away tie against one of the eight teams from the Domestic Champions path of the competition. The winners of these ties will join the eight group winners in the round of 16.

Barcelona, Basel, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have so far rubber-stamped their spots in the last 16, while Atlético Madrid, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Spartak Moscow, Sporting CP, Ajax*, Brodarac*, Inter Milan*, Krasnodar*, Molde*, Nitra*, Salzburg (holders)* and Željezničar* have qualified for the play-off round thus far.

Follow this afternoon’s match live on Twitter @SpursOfficial as we look to finish our group stage campaign on a high. APOEL are the only side who’ve beaten us in the UEFA Youth League this term, winning 1-0 in Cyprus on September 26.
