Captain in Hugo Lloris' absence, Harry stated 'you just want to win' and the players were united in feeling that victory was paramount as we returned to Premier League action after the night of all nights against Real Madrid in the Champions League just four days earlier.
Toby Alderweireld, Dele Alli and Michel Vorm were also out injured with Paulo Gazzaniga impressing on his Spurs debut. The goalkeeper was awarded Man of the Match by broadcasters BT Sport.
In the end though, Heung-Min Son stole the show. Sonny's wonderful strike on 64 minutes secured the win and made him the highest scoring South Korean in Premier League history, taking him ahead of South Korean legend Ji-Sung Park.
Here's what captain Kane, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen and Sonny had to say...

On the win...
"It was a big game for momentum so to win was fantastic and we can go away happy into the international break. It wasn’t the prettiest of performances but it’s a win and that’s all that matters."
On the captaincy...
"I’m always proud leading the team out and it was my first time at Wembley. Always when you’re captain you want to win, you want to go home with the three points and I’m pleased that we’ve done that."
On Sonny's winner...
"The goal was fantastic. I’ve said it before - left and right foot, Sonny is unbelievable. It was a great touch to set it up, he whipped it in and gave the keeper no chance."

On following up the win against Real Madrid...
"We knew it was going to be difficult because of the midweek game, we had a lot of players missing as well and this game was really important to continue the momentum. There is no point beating Real Madrid on Wednesday if you can't win at the weekend. It was a great day for Paulo (Gazzaniga). He only found out he was playing this (Sunday) morning, he came in and did really well."

On the match...
"It was a very tough game. It was a game in the middle of the park with a lot of battles and a lot of small area duels but of course it was tough and we’re happy with the points. It was important that we won to keep the momentum ahead of the internationals."
On Sonny's goal
"It was a very good strike from Sonny. We know that Sonny, in that situation, will score goals and luckily he did that today."

Thoughts on the game...
"It’s always difficult to play against these opponents, breaking them down is difficult but we did well. In the first half we didn’t get many chances but we deserved the win. I’m happy to score again but I’m also disappointed because I missed two great chances. It’s very important to win and get the three points."
On Paulo's debut...
"Paulo did very well on his debut and I’m really thankful to him. He deserves it. He always trains hard and I’m really happy for him. A clean sheet is very important again."
