With the festive season now over for another year, Tottenham Hotspur is using football to inspire a fitness drive for local people.
The F.I.T (Fitness in Tottenham) campaign will see the Club team up with the Tottenham Journal - click here for the Journal's website - during the month of January to offer health and fitness advice to those hoping to kick start 2012 by putting the excess of the Christmas and New Year period behind them!
January will see Tottenham Hotspur’s players show their support for the F.I.T campaign, fitness coaches offer exercise tips and Club chefs provide healthy recipes based on a Premier League footballer’s diet for readers of the Tottenham Journal.
Tottenham Hotspur’s official website, Twitter and Facebook pages will support the F.I.T campaign, which coincides with the Club be launching its own range of training and gym wear for fans.
Grant Cornwell, Chief Executive Officer, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, said:
“Eating a balanced diet and taking regular exercise is an important part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and can help prevent illness. Here at the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation we are developing a range of innovative projects that help support and show families how small lifestyle changes can have long term health benefits.”
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation already runs a number of Health and Wellbeing programmes across the Boroughs of Haringey, Enfield, Waltham Forest, Barnet and Epping Forest.
