Spurs v West Ham - team news
Mauricio Pochettino has cleared up the injury situation ahead of West Ham United’s visit to White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Question marks were raised over the fitness of several players during the international break with Harry Kane being released from the England squad ahead of Tuesday’s match against Spain, while Christian Eriksen didn’t travel with Denmark for their away friendly against Czech Republic.
But Mauricio has reported today (Thursday, November 17) that there are no additional concerns surrounding the players who went away to represent their countries, with only those who were sidelined previously still recovering from their injuries.
On Harry and Christian, Mauricio said: “There’s nothing to worry about – they are in a good condition and will be available to be selected for Saturday, no problem.”
Toby Alderweireld (knee), Ben Davies (ankle) and Erik Lamela (hip) remain out – Mauricio having provided an update on Toby’s progress – while Dele Alli is described as doubtful after picking up a knee injury in training ahead of our 1-1 draw at Arsenal a fortnight ago.
“We’ll see – Dele is recovering well from his injury,” added Mauricio. “We need to assess him tomorrow but we are very happy with how he is recovering. For Toby, Ben and Lamela, we expect them to need more time to be available to play.”
Moussa Sissoko is also available after serving a three-match domestic suspension.
