16-19 Further Education Programmes

Our Football Development Centres and Education Programmes are for 16 to 19-year-olds. These courses are available for students who are due to complete their GCSEs by June 2023 or for those who have already completed them. The 16-19 Further Education Programme is perfect for those who have a passion for progressing their career in sports or sports science. Students on this pathway can select from several full-time academic qualifications to study ranging from BTEC Level 1, 2, 3 or Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, A Level packages, NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership (Coaching), YMCA Personal Training and Gym Instruction Courses and limited Business courses.

Our educational courses with partner colleges include training and competitive matchday football with the Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Development and Academy coaches. This will ensure the progression and development of grassroots and elite players.

Higher Education Programmes

Our Higher Education programme is for students aged 18+ that are ready to study at Level 4 or Level 5. Our unique Coaching Science Qualification is for those looking to work in the sports coaching industry. The education is provided by specialised tutors from New City College and supported by Tottenham Hotspur Coaching staff to provide hands-on and industry-specific knowledge to support their learning. Through practical-based learning to supplement the units of work, students will enhance their knowledge and understanding of topics that support coaching. This provides the learners with actual experience and behind-the-scenes insight into a professional football club and the staff that work within it. The Higher Education programme gives opportunities and insights for future employment either with Tottenham Hotspur or other coaching companies.

This event will provide you with information about all of the available programmes and will explain how you apply. Staff from all of the colleges will be on hand to answer any questions and explain their educational packages, courses, and progression routes.
