Player Season Stats

Defender Ria Percival arrived from West Ham in July, 2019, bringing a huge amount of international experience, having won 143 caps for New Zealand at that point, making her the record appearance-maker for her country.

Some of those were won at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France – the fourth World Cup she’s been involved in. She has also been to four Olympic Games with the Football Ferns, most recently the delayed 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Born in Basildon, Ria began her club career at Lynn-Avon United in New Zealand before switching to American side F.C. Indiana. She subsequently played for Ottawa Fury in Canada then headed to Germany where she represented FFC Frankfurt and FF USV Jena. She spent four seasons at the latter side, making 77 appearances, and played for a further two years in Switzerland for FC Basel before joining West Ham in 2018, where she made 25 appearances and started the 2019 FA Women’s Cup Final.

During the 2019/20 campaign, she made 18 appearances for us in all competitions.

In 2020/21, Ria made 19 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals, both of which came in the Continental League Cup.

She played 21 games in all competitions in 2021/22, but in April, 2022, she suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury on international duty during New Zealand’s friendly against Australia, returning to action during the 2022/23 campaign.

In January, 2024, Ria joined FA Women's Championship side Crystal Palace on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
