Born: 17 July 1997 (Thornton-Cleveleys, England)
Defender Hannah Godfrey joined us in July, 2019.
Her arrival marked her return to England, having spent the previous four years in the United States representing the University of South Alabama and Pensacola FC, where she was part of the squad that won the 2019 Women’s Premier Soccer League title.
Prior to moving to the States, the centre-back began her career with Blackburn Rovers before joining Manchester City’s Development Squad at the age of 17 during the 2014/15 season.
In November, 2019, having established herself as a regular starter in defence for us in the WSL, she earned her first international call-up for Scotland, came straight in to start and scored on her debut in a 5-0 victory in Albania in Euro qualifying.
She ended the shortened 2019/20 campaign with us by being named our Player of the Season and Juniors' Player of the Season, as voted for by our supporters. She made 15 starts in all competitions over the course of that campaign.
