Junior Talent Programme

Starting from next season, our Junior Talent Programme will operate teams at Under-13, Under-14, Under-15 and Under-16 age groups and will provide a full player development scheme, incorporating technical and tactical coaching, competition, medical access, sports science/strength and conditioning, analysis and lifestyle support.

Players will be identified, selected and invited to join this new step of our pathway, which links directly with our Under-19 Football Development College Programmes, WSL Academy and first team. There will be three training sessions per week plus a weekly fixture programme delivered across London and the south of England.

The teams we will be operating next season as part of the programme are as follows:

  • Under-13 - to participate in a competition programme against local boys teams
  • Under-14 - to play in a competition programme against local boys teams or a girls league with open weekends organised to play against boys teams once a month
  • Under-15 - to participate in an Under-16 girls league with regular fixtures against boys teams
  • Under-16 - the competition programme is to be confirmed

Key programme features:

  • Three training sessions per week - including technical, tactical and strength and conditioning sessions (delivered by a qualified Physical Performance Coach)
  • Educational Workshops including nutrition and psychology sessions
  • Sports Therapist present at every training session
  • Weekly fixture programme - against boys and girls teams
  • Residential Trips, Tours and Tournaments during school holidays
  • Coaching qualifications opportunities

Trial applications for our Junior Talent Programme are now closed. Please keep an eye on our channels for more information.
