Rayan Clarke

Born: 05 April 2001 (Middlesex, England)

Rayan Clarke

Left winger Rayan Clarke is now in his first season at Under-23 level.

He scored six goals in 17 Under-18 Premier League appearances - including a start up front in the first ever match inside our new stadium against Southampton Under-18s in March, 2019 - in addition to two goals in four Under-18 Premier League Cup ties during 2018/19. He also played once in the FA Youth Cup, made two substitute appearances in the Under-19 UEFA Youth League and stepped up to Development Squad level to make three Premier League 2 appearances, one Premier League International Cup appearance and one start in the EFL Trophy at Oxford United.

Born in North Middlesex Hospital, he was brought up in Leyton and attended Highams Park School.

His goals tally hit double figures for our Under-16s in 2016-17 and he featured twice for the Under-18s in the second half of that campaign. His Under-18s debut came against Aston Villa, while he came off the bench in a 3-3 draw at Derby County in May, 2017.

Rayan made 11 Under-18 Premier League appearances in his first full season at that level in 2017/18. Occasionally filling in at left-back, he scored once in three appearances in the Under-18 Premier League Cup and memorably netted late on in a 3-0 FA Youth Cup victory over AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in January, 2018.
