Paris Maghoma

Born: 08 May 2001 (London, England)

Paris Maghoma

Paris Maghoma is a right-footed central midfielder who has now stepped up to Development Squad level full-time after an impressive couple of seasons with our Under-18s.

After making his senior debut in a first team pre-season friendly match away to Girona in August, 2018, he scored four goals in seven Under-18 Premier League games in 2018/19 and played two games apiece in the Under-18 Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup. He also featured in all eight of our UEFA Youth League matches, scoring in a 2-2 draw away to PSV in the group stage, while showing his abilities at Development Squad level whenever called upon. Indeed, he returned three goals from 12 Premier League 2 appearances and played twice in the EFL Trophy against senior sides, scoring in a 4-0 win over Gillingham. He also picked up further experience by playing two games for our Under-23s in the Premier League International Cup.

Born in Enfield but raised in Finchley, Paris attended Finchley Catholic High School, where he won a host of trophies playing for the school team.

An all-action player who always appears calm and collected in possession, he was one of the youngest members of our Under-19s group which reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League in 2017/18, appearing in six of our eight games in the televised European competition. For the Under-18s, he scored once in each of the three domestic competitions they entered during that season, and played 26 times at that level overall.

Previously he played five times for the Under-18s in 2016/17, scoring in a final day 3-3 draw against Derby County.

He has also represented England’s Under-18s, Under-16s and Under-15s.
