Born: 09 November 2000 (Hinchingbrooke, England)
Midfielder Elliot Thorpe has now moved up to Under-23 level after two seasons with our Under-18s.
In 2018/19, he was part of the squad that finished second in the Under-18 Premier League, making nine appearances and scoring in a 4-0 home win over Fulham in March, 2019. An unused substitute in the first ever football match to be played at our new stadium - our Under-18s' 3-1 victory over Southampton in the first Test Event match there in March, 2019 - he also played twice in the Under-18 Premier League Cup during that campaign and featured as a substitute for our Development Squad against Oxford United's senior side in an EFL Trophy tie in December, 2018.
In July, 2019, he scored in our Development Squad's 2-2 pre-season draw at Ebbsfleet United.
Born in Hinchingbrook and brought up in St Neots, it was with Cambridge United’s youth teams that Elliot started out before joining our Academy.
A Welsh Under-19 international, he attended Longsands School and plies his trade in midfield, usually operating in a central role.
He made his Under-18 Premier League debut off the bench in a thrilling 6-3 victory at Brighton in January, 2018, and made a further two substitute appearances at that level before the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
