Armando Shashoua

Born: 31 October 2000 (London, England)

Armando Shashoua

Armando Shashoua is a right-footed central midfielder who has now stepped up to Under-23 level after captaining our Under-18s in 2018/19.

During that season, he had the distinction of leading a Spurs team out at our new stadium for the first time ever, as our Under-18s beat Southampton in the first Test Event match there in March, 2019. That was one of 19 appearances he made in the Under-18 Premier League, scoring six goals as we challenged for the title and eventually finished second. He also played three times in the Under-18 Premier League Cup and twice in the FA Youth Cup, scoring in a fourth round tie at Arsenal.

In Europe, he made one start and a further four substitute appearances in our Under-19 UEFA Youth League campaign while he stepped up to make five appearances for our Development Squad in all competitions, including a substitute appearance against Portsmouth's senior side in the EFL Trophy.

Born in Chelsea, Armando lived in Russia with his family for two years as a young child before returning to the UK where he attended Harrow School.

He made one appearance for our Under-18s in 2016/17, coming off the bench in a February, 2017, encounter with Aston Villa.

He made 22 appearances during his first full campaign with our Under-18s in 2017/18. Occasionally featuring in our UEFA Youth League squad as well, Armando opened his goalscoring account in the Under-18 Premier League with a neat strike in a 2-1 win at Fulham in April, 2018.
