Dilan Markanday

Born: 20 August 2001 (Barnet, England)

Dilan Markanday

Dilan Markanday is a clever attacking midfielder who normally plays down the right, weaving his way into dangerous areas in the opponents' half.

He set the tone for his 2017-18 season with a goal and impressive display in a 4-0 opening day win over Norwich Under-18s and, after a spell out of the side in the middle of the campaign, continued to catch the eye in the latter months of that season, scoring in big wins over Chelsea and Arsenal - twice in the latter game - to round off the Under-18 Premier League campaign. In all, he scored six goals in 15 appearances in that competition, three in five in our run to the Under-18 Premier League Cup Final and made two further substitute appearances in the FA Youth Cup.

Named 'Best Overseas Player' at the Under-17 Borgaro Maggioni Righi tournament in Italy over the Easter weekend in 2018, he made his Under-23s debut as a substitute in a Premier League 2 final day defeat to Manchester City.

Dilan was born in Barnet Hospital, attended Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School in Elstree and was raised in north London.

He featured regularly for our Under-16s in 2016-17, scoring seven goals.
