Player Season Stats

Centre-forward Dane Scarlett is a product of our Academy system who has been a regular goalscorer throughout the age groups on his way to becoming a senior player.

A key part of the England Under-19 squad that won the European Under-19 Championship in 2022, he spent the 2022/23 season on loan at League One side Portsmouth.

In August, 2023, he joined Championship side Ipswich Town on loan, before returning to the Club in January, 2024.

Born at Hillingdon Hospital and attending The Harefield Academy, Dane stepped up to feature four times for our Under-18s in the early stages of the 2019/20 season while still a schoolboy, scoring his first goal at that level against Aston Villa in October, 2019, but suffered a season-ending knee injury in a match against Chelsea the following month.

He returned to action in pre-season of 2020, featuring as a substitute in first team friendlies against Ipswich Town and Reading at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of beginning his first season of full-time football with our Under-18s in 2020/21. Over the course of that campaign, he played competitive matches at Under-18, Under-23 and first team levels. He netted 17 goals in 16 Under-18 Premier League games, including four goals in a 7-0 home win over Southampton in November, 2020, while scoring an incredible five goals in a 6-2 FA Youth Cup win over Newport County in January, 2021, before going on to play twice more in the latter competition.

He scored on his first two appearances for our Under-23s against Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion, going on to register three goals in five Premier League 2 games and stepped up to make three competitive first team appearances, the first of which, against Ludogorets in the Europa League in November, 2020, briefly saw him become the Club's youngest ever player, before team-mate Alfie Devine took that title when he appeared in a subsequent FA Cup tie at Marine. Dane remains our youngest player in Europe, though, and after making his Premier League debut as a late substitute against West Bromwich Albion in February, 2021, he claimed an assist on his second Europa League appearance against Wolfsberger AC later that month.

He scored his first senior goal in a 1-1 pre-season draw at Leyton Orient in July, 2021, and was a regular figure in and around our first team squad during the 2021/22 season, adding a further seven appearances in all competitions - taking his current total for us to 10 senior competitive appearances - while also playing nine times for our Development Squad in all competitions, scoring in a Papa John's Trophy clash with Oxford United in October, 2021.

On the international stage, Dane has played for England since Under-15 level and after scoring six goals in five qualifying appearances to help the Under-19s reach the European Championship finals, he played in four out of the Young Lions' five games at the tournament in the summer of 2022, scoring twice, as England lifted the trophy. Club team-mate Alfie Devine was also part of the triumphant squad.
