Goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga has had a lot on his plate this week – in more ways than one!

Outside of the players’ daily remote training sessions, where the squad and coaches work individually at home while liaising with each other via online video get-togethers, the Argentine international has been making the most of his spare time during lockdown with his partner Patricia and dog Teo.

He revealed in an interview on tottenhamhotspur.com a few days ago that he’s combined time in the kitchen with other stay-at-home activities like building a model airplane and completing jigsaw puzzles.

But it’s been cooking in particular that has kept him occupied, with his trademark Argentinian barbeque food on the menu – along with a special gift from a certain Lucas Moura!

The other day, Lucas Moura and his family sent us some Brazilian food... it was delicious!

“I’ve been cooking a lot!” he admitted. “In these last few weeks, the weather has been great and I’ve been taking advantage of that to cook barbeque food in the garden.

“We’re also trying new recipes – for example, we’ve made some home-made bread.

“The other day, Lucas Moura and his family sent us some Brazilian food too – some sweets with coconut and some sausage rolls. It was delicious!”

Whenever he’s not training, Paulo likes to keep in touch with his nearest and dearest, even more so in the current situation with the world battling the outbreak of COVID-19.

“Of course, I have been making video calls to my family and friends, especially when I’m drinking ‘mate’ (South American tea enjoyed by many of our players),” he added. “I've been playing video games online with a group of friends from Murphy, my hometown, too. It's a way to be closer in this time.”
