Danny Rose “doesn’t want the season to end” after rediscovering his form in a Spurs shirt.
Having endured an injury-hit campaign last year, the England international has been back to his best in a number of recent outings, including Tuesday’s 1-0 home victory over Brighton.
Frequently bursting forward down the left flank, the full-back caused the Seagulls all manner of problems as we tried and tried to find a way through their packed defence before Christian Eriksen finally struck gold two minutes from time.
Restricted to just 17 outings in all competitions in 2017/18, Danny has almost doubled that this time around – his appearance against Brighton was his 32nd of the season – and he’s positive about the progress he’s been making.
“I’m over the moon with the season that I’ve had,” he said. “Obviously I had a difficult season last year and it’s just nice that I was able to start afresh from pre-season and fight for my position again.
“I’m delighted with how it’s going – I’m tired but I don’t want the season to finish!
“I’m enjoying every minute of it now and it’s just amazing that we’re hopefully in a good position to get into the top four and we’re in a Champions League semi-final. It’s brilliant and I just want it to keep going.”
