On Sunday evening, we enjoyed a 4-0 Premier League win over Sheffield United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Gareth Bale starred in the victory as he clinically dispatched a hat-trick against the Blades to put us in total control of the affair. Heung-Min Son then wrapped up the scoring with 13 minutes remaining as he crashed in our fourth off the post with a stunning strike from the edge of the  box.

Here is a look at all the key statistics from the game...

Brilliant Bale

2 - Gareth Bale’s hat-trick against Sheffield United was just his second treble in English football. His first came back on Boxing Day, 2012, when he fired three for us past Aston Villa as part of a 4-0 win at Villa Park.

5 - The hat-trick was his first in domestic football for over five years. He last hit a treble in a domestic competition back in January, 2016, when he put three past Deportivo La Coruna for Real Madrid in a 5-0 win in La Liga.

8 - Gareth now has eight goals in his last eight Premier League games.

9 - The Welshman also now has nine goals in just eight Premier League starts, with all of those goals coming at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

50 - Gareth’s second against Sheffield United was his 50th goal in the Premier League.

66 - On average, the forward has been involved in a goal for us every 66 minutes in the English top flight this season.

Blades blunted

45 - We completed a league double over Sheffield United for the first time in 45 years. We last defeated the Blades both home and away in a single campaign back in the 1975/76 season. The aggregate score across both games that term was 7-1, as it was across both matches this year.

16 - Heung-Min Son fired home his 16th Premier League goal of the season - continuing his his best-ever return in a single campaign in the competition. His previous best was 14 in 2016/17. Only two players have scored more than him in the league this year (Harry Kane - 21 and Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah - 20).

10 - Son provided his 10th Premier League assist of the season. Only three players have supplied more than that in the competition this year - Harry Kane (13), Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne (11) and Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (11).

26 - That’s now 26 goals that Sonny has contributed to this season in England’s top flight (16 goals, 10 assists) - his best ever return in the competition. Only two players this season have been involved in more goals in the league - Harry Kane (34) and Bruno Fernandes (27).

4 - He has been involved in a goal each time he has faced Sheffield United - four games, four goal involvements (two goals, two assists).

Sublime Serge

60 - Of the five goals Serge Aurier has contributed to in the Premier League this season, 60 per cent have come against Sheffield United (three – one goal, two assists). The other two came against Manchester United (a goal and an assist).

2 - It was the first time in his Spurs career that Serge Aurier has provided two assists in a single game.
