James Maddison answers questions on his life on and off the pitch the Q&A section in his Diary Room appearance on our Asia-Pacific Tour.
The Q&A section of our popular Diary Room feature running throughout our Asia-Pacific Tour gave us a little insight into the players' lives, on and off the pitch.
We lined-up five pots of questions, 10 questions in each, with subjects ranging from the Tour itself through to 'Life' and 'Pot Luck'.

Tour
What do you miss most about home when you're on Tour?
James: “That's quite an easy answer - my family, especially as I've two new-borns, so definitely family, as I'm missing that precious time when they're so small, my twins. So, missing them, my boy, my dogs, my girlfriend, but it's part and parcel of the job, and my family understand that."
Football/pre-season
What is the toughest training session you can remember in pre-season?
James: “Ever? There was one I remember at Coventry, maybe the back end of pre-season. We got into trouble as a group, we were 16, 17, first year scholars, and we did a running session up hills and back down, then running around all the pitches at the training ground holding a pole above our heads. We couldn't let go of the pole.”

Who is the joker of the pack?
James: “To be fair, there are a few candidates here. Bissouma's funny, he's already set his territory on the music at the training ground, he's the DJ, no-one else. Give it a few weeks and I'll be in there!"
Life
Have you ever had a job outside of football?
James: “No, not really, apart from work experience at school, when I went with one of my friend's dads, who was a builder. It was a grind, to be fair, and he did pay us well! We did a few days' work, but that was tough. My back after those few days... up and down ladders, carrying bags of cement. Yes, that was a grind.”

How do you like your eggs?
James: “With a kiss in the morning - is that how the song goes? Scrambled or poached, runny yoke with poached, or scrambled on toast.”
