One Hotspur Junior member Ethan meets Harry Kane on a day to remember

One Hotspur Junior member Ethan Roach had a matchday experience to remember at our Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last month.

Ethan took up the role of Junior Matchday Reporter after winning a competition exclusive to One Hotspur members.

He had a full day behind the scenes of a busy Premier League matchday for our media team – from early briefings for our matchday show, N17 Live, filming with fans to a pre-match tour and, the icing on the cake, being in the room when goalscorer Harry Kane was interviewed by SPURSPLAY.

Ethan joined the team early, watched pre-records for N17 Live and then joined Club presenter Rebekah Walker outside the stadium as she spoke to Kerala Spurs for an N17 feature. Next up, a tour around the inner sanctum of the stadium including the dressing room and tunnel area. After visiting the TV gallery, Ethan moved pitchside to watch N17 Live and he later had the chance to join the team on camera, just metres away from the first team warming up for Palace.

Ethan then watched the game from press box – home of journalists and media from around the world – before his highlight, joining SPURSPLAY in their post-match interview room where, after scoring the winner, striker Harry gave us his thoughts on the match before meeting Ethan, who was able to grab a quick autograph and a selfie. What a day!

“I really enjoyed my time at Spurs,” reflected Ethan. “The highlight was meeting Harry Kane. I also really enjoyed being in the reporters’ room, interviewing people and looking around the stadium. I hope I can go back to the stadium again soon. Thank you so much for the best experience!”
