Jermain Defoe joins us in a bumper final home match of the season on Sunday
Fri 13 May 2022, 17:30|Tottenham Hotspur
What a day it promises to be at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday - both on and off the pitch.
On it, of course, we'll attempt to turn up the heat in the race for fourth place in the Premier League when Burnley arrive in N17 for the early 12 noon kick-off.
Off it, we've a bumper day for fans on another sell-out day at our world-class venue.
Special guest - Jermain Defoe
Jermain Defoe will appear as a special guest at half-time following the recent announcement of his retirement from the game.
The popular striker scored 143 goals in 363 appearances for the Club over two spells between 2004-2014, putting him sixth in our list of all-time goalscorers.
At the age of 39, he finally hung up his boots in March following a short stint at former club Sunderland, having amassed well over 300 career goals, including 20 in his 57 caps for England.
Sunday will be JD’s chance to thank our fans for the incredible support they have shown him throughout his career and relive some of his memorable moments in a Spurs shirt.

Four awards will be presented in total – One Hotspur Player of the Year, One Hotspur Junior Player of the Year, Supporters’ Club Player of the Year and Goal of the Season – all of which have been voted for by our fans.
We’ll also acknowledge our fantastic grounds staff who were recently named Premier League Grounds Team of the Season for 2021/22.
