Sonny lands March’s Goal of the Month

Heung-Min Son has secured our fans’ vote for Goal of the Month for the second successive month with his strike against West Ham.

Sonny scored twice in the 3-1 victory at home against the Hammers on 20 March  - his first securing 31% of the vote, just edging Alfie Devine’s wonderful solo effort for our Under-23s against Arsenal. Sonny’s second goal in that key win against David Moyes’ men, our third, finished third.

The winner was a trademark link-up with Harry Kane, as the Korean international received the ball on the wing from the striker, before an astute step over allowed him to fire into the top corner on his left foot from the edge of the box. It was the pair’s 38th combined Premier League goal involvement, extending the record broken in February. They linked up again for 3-1, taking their combinations to 39.
