Legends team set for busy month

Wed 08 June 2022, 07:52|Tottenham Hotspur

The Spurs Legends team will be back in action with two fixtures during the month of June.

Featuring a range of names from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, often including the likes of Mark Falco, David Howells and Pascal Chimbonda, the team of ex-players will first be heading to Maidstone United’s Gallagher Stadium in Kent for a match against a charity side this Sunday (12 June).

Kick-off is at 2pm, with tickets available on the day, priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-16s.

Then, on Sunday 26 June, the Legends will return to Cheadle Town near Stockport for a rematch against our official North West Spurs Supporters’ Club.

After winning comfortably in a terrific event at the same venue last year, the Legends will be aiming to make it back-to-back victories in this second meeting – tickets cost £10 for adults and £2 for children, and can be booked in advance by emailing northwestspurs@gmail.com.

Proceeds from the latter match will go towards the JE3 Foundation, which was set up in memory of former defender and Spurs Legends regular Justin Edinburgh, who tragically passed away on this day (8 June) in 2019.

As previously announced, the Legends will also take on our official Yorkshire Spurs Supporters’ Club at Marine AFC on Sunday 31 July (2pm) to officially open their new 3G pitch.

Details of further fixtures for the team will be communicated in due course.
