Alfie Devine netted a fantastic second-half goal to wrap up a 2-0 win for England Under-19s in their opening game of the European Under-19 Championship against Austria in Slovakia on Sunday evening.
The 17-year-old midfielder cracked an unstoppable shot into the top corner from just inside the box in the 65th minute as the Young Lions put three early points on the board in Group B.
Club team-mate Dane Scarlett had earlier provided the assist for Carney Chukwuemeka to give England the lead in the run-up to half-time.
It means the Young Lions are two points clear at the top of their group after Serbia and Israel drew 2-2 earlier on Sunday. England next face Serbia on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7pm UK, live on BBC iPlayer).
Both Alfie and Dane started the match against Austria, Dane completing 72 minutes with Alfie withdrawn eight minutes later.
