Lucas wins our December Goal of the Month

Lucas Moura's stunning strike against Norwich City has been voted our Goal of the Month for December.

The Brazilian's beauty paved the way for a 3-0 win against the Canaries on 5 December. It had been a relatively quiet start to the Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Lucas changed all that in the 10th minute.

Picking up the ball 40 yards from goal, Lucas switched gears to get away from Billy Gilmour and Pierre Lees-Melou, played a one-two with Heung-Min Son, then turned away from Andrew Omobamidele back onto his right foot and hit a ferocious 25-yard strike which flew past Tim Krul into the top corner.

The quality of the goal is certainly reflected in the voting, with Lucas polling 77.6% of the votes! Heung-Min Son's breakaway goal against Brentford came home second with 8.7% with Jess Naz's winner for Tottenham Hotspur Women against Everton and Nile John's second of two fine goals for our Under-23s in a 3-0 win against City level in third.
