Rehanne, Ashleigh and Kyah up for FA WSL monthly awards
Mon 21 February 2022, 13:05|Tottenham Hotspur
Rehanne is shortlisted for Manager of the Month while Ash has received two nods for both Player of the Month and Goal of the Month for her strike at home to Brighton.
Australian international Kyah Simon’s nonchalant lob to open the scoring against the Seagulls is also nominated in the Goal of the Month category.
Rehanne earned her third Manager of the Month nomination of the season after her side launched themselves back into a Champions League qualifying berth. A second half goal blitz secured an emphatic 4-0 win against Hope Powell's side at the Hive before a commanding 2-0 victory away at Birmingham City a week later.
Right-back Ash Neville is having the time of her life and her relentless work rate up and down the flanks to aid both attack and defence was a key part of the team’s impressive performances. Her desire to get forward was rewarded with a goal in both games.
She showed her composure to double the advantage after Kyah’s superb dink gave us an early lead against Brighton and was on the scoresheet again with a crucial strike to secure back-to-back wins at Birmingham before the international break.
Rehanne faces competition from Lydia Bedford (Leicester City) and Emma Hayes (Chelsea) for the Manager of the Month award.
Ash, meanwhile, is shortlisted alongside Ann-Katrin Berger (Chelsea), Jess Carter (Chelsea), Ashleigh Plumtre (Leicester City) and Jemma Purfield (Leicester City) for Player of the Month.
