Big finale planned at the Summer of Spurs!

What an August it has been in N17 so far with our Summer of Spurs proving to be a huge hit with young people and their families during the school holidays.

Over the past three weeks we’ve seen kids flock to N17 Arena and the Duke’s Aldridge Academy every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, taking part in our free multi-sports activities on offer and enjoying a free lunch provided by the Club.

There’s been special guest appearances from Spurs players past and present, including Ledley King, Jenna Schillaci, Jermain Defoe, Michael Dawson and Ben Davies. Even during the extreme heat a couple of weeks ago, the fun continued with kids taken on a surprise stadium tour where they met Ryan Sessegnon and Djed Spence.

Now we enter the last week and the Summer of Spurs will be going out with a big finale on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 August, 10am-4pm on N17 Arena (Park Lane).

We will be holding two back-to-back fun days that the whole family can take part in and enjoy - not just the kids! The theme is ‘bringing the world to N17’ - celebrating the rich diversity and culture that exists in our local community through music, food and dance.

Highlights include:

• Live music provided by Tottenham-based urban radio station Unity Xtra, featuring live performances from acts across a range of international genres, including rap, afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, soca and latin
  
  
• Performances from poets, spoken word artists, stilt walkers and carnival bands
  
  
• Performing arts workshops for young people courtesy of the Ambassador Theatre Group – Britain’s leading company who will be bringing the West End to Tottenham in the new school year. Workshops include beatboxing and hip-hop, physicality and movement and sport and performance
  
  
• International street food provided by local businesses
  
  
• An array of sporting and fitness activities for all the family
  
  
• Special guest appearances…. we haven’t disappointed so far, so expect some familiar faces from the world of football and music to drop by!
