Ben Davies is the latest star guest to join the fun at Summer of Spurs

Wed 17 August 2022, 17:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs defender Ben Davies became the latest first team player to take part in our Summer of Spurs holiday programme earlier today as he joined a range of indoor sport activities in N17.

With the heavy rain preventing football activities on our N17 Arena pitches, Ben met youngsters taking part in a series of games, including handball, in the sports hall of Duke’s Aldridge Academy.

Ben’s visit was the latest in a series of special guest appearances at Summer of Spurs which sees football and multi-sports activity for young people of all ages and abilities take place on N17 Arena and Duke’s Aldridge Academy every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout August.

Speaking after the session, Ben, who has started both Premier League games for the Club this season, said: “Summer of Spurs is a fantastic initiative and is clearly attracting young people from across the local area. There’s something for everyone and the kids seem to really enjoy the range of different activities on offer.

“It was great to see how much fun everyone had this afternoon - I know the Club has a lot more planned before the end of August too!”

More surprises are scheduled next week when two back-to-back family fun days will take place at N17 Arena on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 August celebrating the diversity of the culture that exists in Tottenham.

Music, performers and street food will be on offer and keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates about some very special guest appearances!

Summer of Spurs aims to keep young people in the Tottenham area engaged in positive activity during the school holidays, promoting health and wellbeing and reducing levels of crime and anti-social behaviour in the process.
