Easter treat for local families at N17 Arena

Wed 06 April 2022, 16:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Jess Naz surprised local residents taking part in a free family fitness session at N17 Arena this afternoon (Wednesday 6 April) by presenting them with tickets for our women’s team’s final game of the season at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

To help keep local families fit and active during the Easter period, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is hosting a series of free sports sessions at N17 Arena, our vibrant community space and talent ID centre in the heart of Tottenham.

Located on the south-east of the stadium campus, on the corner of Park Lane and Worcester Avenue, N17 Arena consists of two first-class, floodlit mini pitches on which activities are being delivered.

With something for all to enjoy this Easter, influential forward Jess, who grew up in Tottenham, joined over 30 children for a multi-sports session, taking part in some football drills, skills and a series of mini football matches.

But it’s not just the kids who get to have fun this Easter – Jess also joined in one of our adult fitness sessions helping parents to get fit and stay active.

At the end of the activities, Jess surprised families by handing over tickets to our final game of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League campaign against Leicester City, which is taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 8 May (KO 12.30pm).

Speaking at the session, Jess said: “It was great fun to come down to the N17 Arena today and join both children and parents in their fitness sessions. As someone who grew up in Tottenham, it was brilliant to see so many people enjoying the N17 Arena – a community space that I would have loved as a kid. I strongly encourage as many people as possible to take advantage of the free sessions hosted by the Foundation this Easter – they are great way to burn off the Easter chocolate!”

One of the participants commented: “It was really nice to have Jess come down and join in our session today. As a professional footballer and athlete, Jess gave some great tips about how to stay healthy and motivated during the holidays and she was very encouraging during the workout. I look forward to watching the women’s team against Leicester and cheering Jess on!”

Activities taking place during the Easter holidays are free and open to people of all ages and fitness levels within the community – you can book your place by emailing thf.activities@tottenhamhotspur.com
