Tottenham HotspurGiovani Lo Celso and Davinson Sanchez have kicked-off their Copa America campaigns in Brazil with Argentina and Colombia respectively.
Gio was in fine form as Argentina took an early grip of their Group B match against Chile in Rio on Monday evening. The playmaker, earning his 25th cap, set up chances for Lautaro Martinez and Nicolas Gonzalez before Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a trademark free-kick on 33 minutes.
However, Chile levelled when Eduardo Vargas nodded home the rebound after Emiliano Martinez saved Arturo Vidal's penalty on 57 minutes. Gio was substituted on 67 minutes as it stayed 1-1 at Estadio Nilton Santos. Argentina face Uruguay next on Friday.
Davinson started on the bench as Colombia beat Ecuador 1-0 in their Group A opener on Sunday night. The defender came on for the final eight minutes in Cuiaba as Edwin Cardona's goal just before half-time proved enough. Colombia now prepare for Venezuela on Thursday.
