City v Spurs - how to watch, team news, key information

Fri 12 February 2021, 20:17|Tottenham Hotspur

We visit Premier League leaders Manchester City for another big test on Saturday evening (kick-off 5.30pm UK).

City have won their last 15 consecutive games in all competitions but we’ll be keen to secure a repeat of the 2-0 win we enjoyed when we met Pep Guardiola’s side at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in November.

Here’s our usual run-down of all the key information you need to know ahead of kick-off...

How can I watch the game?

Saturday’s match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, while talkSPORT and BBC Radio Manchester will carry live radio commentary.

Kick-off is at 5.30pm UK time.

Full worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

Remember, you can also follow the game in its entirety by clicking onto our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you can enjoy live audio commentary, minute-by-minute text updates, goal alerts and stats – all completely free.

How will the teams line up?

Serge Aurier and Gareth Bale will be assessed after our final training session to determine whether they can be involved at the Etihad.

Right-back Serge was forced off during the second half of last weekend’s win over West Brom and missed the midweek FA Cup defeat at Everton – Jose Mourinho admits he doesn’t know yet if the Ivory Coast captain will be fit to play. Attacker Gareth also missed the game at Goodison Park.

Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon remain out injured.

Sergio Aguero, Ruben Dias and Rodrigo could all be available for Manchester City, having trained ahead of the game.

Fernandinho will miss out with a thigh injury while Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne are also sidelined.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Saturday’s referee will be Paul Tierney, with Lee Betts and Ian Hussin as his assistant referees.

Craig Pawson will be the fourth official.

We’ll be in our away kit for the game – dark green shirts, black shorts and dark green socks – with our goalkeeper in orange.

City will be in their usual sky blue shirts, white shorts and sky blue socks, with their keeper in pink.

What will the weather be like?

There’ll be sunny intervals and a moderate breeze in Manchester during the day on Saturday, but it’ll still feel bitterly cold with temperatures forecast to be at minus-one degree at kick-off time.
