Everton v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information

Thu 15 April 2021, 21:46|Tottenham Hotspur

We travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton in a rare Friday evening match in the Premier League this week (kick-off 8pm UK).

The Toffees are one place and one point behind us in the table, having played one game less.

They knocked us out of the FA Cup at Goodison Park in February after a dramatic fifth-round tie ended 5-4 in their favour after extra time.

Here’s all the key information you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Friday night’s game will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main event, kick-off 8pm.

Full worldwide broadcast listings are available here.

Our live Match Centre also allows you to follow every kick of the action with full live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats. It’s available on the Spurs Official app and here on tottenhamhotspur.com with updates beginning from 90 minutes before kick-off.

Alternatively, head over to twitch.tv/tottenhamhotspur from 7pm UK for our official Watchalong.

How will the teams line up?

Hosts Everton will be without England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, although Jordan Pickford, Allan, Andre Gomes and Josh King are all expected to be available.

Also sidelined for Carlo Ancelotti’s side are Yerry Mina, Fabian Delph, Bernard, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

For us, full-backs Matt Doherty and Ben Davies remain out, while young striker Dane Scarlett is also unavailable after being forced off injured in the FA Youth Cup defeat to West Brom in midweek.

Goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman is sidelined too as he recovers from knee surgery.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Michael Oliver will referee the match at Goodison Park, with Stuart Burt and Simon Bennett as his assistants and Craig Pawson on duty as the fourth official.

Everton will be playing in their usual blue shirts with white shorts and white socks, meaning we’ll have navy socks instead of white as part of our strip. We’ll be in our usual Lilywhite shirts with navy shorts.

As for the goalkeepers, Everton’s will be in green, with ours in orange.

What will the weather be like?

Friday is forecast to be dry and bright on Merseyside, with temperatures at around 10 degrees when the match kicks-off – a far cry from the freezing temperatures we experienced at Goodison Park in February.
