Spurs v Chelsea – how to watch, team news, key information

Tue 29 September 2020, 11:08|Tottenham Hotspur

A hectic week of home matches continues tonight as we take on Chelsea in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm UK).

Frank Lampard’s men come into the game off the back of a 3-3 draw at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday – here’s a run-down of all the key information you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Sky Sports are showing the match live in the UK, kick-off 7.45pm. You’ll find full worldwide broadcast listings here.

Our popular live matchday show from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, N17 Live, is available to watch for free online, across social media and on the Spurs Official app from 45 minutes before the game starts (7pm UK) with all the build-up from inside the stadium.

You can also follow the action during the game on Club channels via our live Match Centre, complete with live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats. The Match Centre is available on the Spurs Official app and here on tottenhamhotspur.com.

Don’t forget, our matchday family party toolkit is available to download now, featuring printable posters, recipes, games and more, helping you to make the most of our matchdays at home.

How will the teams line up?

Jose Mourinho confirmed after Sunday’s late draw with Newcastle United that Heung-Min Son has incurred a hamstring injury.

Chelsea could give a debut to goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who joined from Rennes last week.

Lampard is without the services of Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic, however, with both players recovering from injuries.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Lee Mason will take charge of tonight’s match, supported by Mark Scholes and Timothy Wood as assistant referees. Andre Marriner will serve as the fourth official.

We’ll line up in our usual white-navy-white home strip, with our goalkeeper in all green.

Chelsea will be in all blue with their goalkeeper in orange.

What will the weather be like?

There’s rain in the air in north London today, but it’s not expected to be falling at kick-off. Temperatures are forecast to be around 15 degrees for the game.

What about the matchday programme?

As usual for our behind-closed-doors matches, you can order the official matchday programme in the post.
