Southampton v Spurs – how to watch, team news, key information

Sun 20 September 2020, 08:12|Tottenham Hotspur

We return to Premier League action away to Southampton today (12pm).

Here’s a run-down of all the key information you need to know ahead of the game...

How can I watch the game?

Today’s match at St Mary’s is being televised live in the UK on BT Sport, kick-off 12pm. Live radio commentary is available on BBC Radio 5 Live. You’ll find full worldwide broadcast listings here.

You can also follow the action during the game on Club channels via our live Match Centre, complete with live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats. The Match Centre is available on the Spurs Official app and here on tottenhamhotspur.com.

How will the teams line up?

Japhet Tanganga remains unavailable due to a thigh problem, while Southampton’s Nathan Redmond suffered an ankle ligament injury in their Carabao Cup defeat to Brentford in midweek and is out for the Saints. Midfielder Stuart Armstrong could return from a thigh problem.

Our recent signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg returns to his old club for the first time, while our former Academy graduate Kyle Walker-Peters is set to line up against us following his move to the south coast.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

David Coote will take charge of today’s match.

Southampton will be in their new home kit, featuring primarily red shirts with a diagonal white sash.

Consequently, and perhaps unusually for a visit to St Mary’s, we’ll be in our home kit.

What will the weather be like?

It’s set to be a bright day on the south coast, with temperatures forecast to reach 24 degrees at kick-off.
