Spurs v Maccabi Haifa – how to watch, team news, key information

Thu 01 October 2020, 10:31|Tottenham Hotspur

We have one more qualifying hurdle to attempt to clear in our bid to reach the Europa League group stages tonight, as we take on Maccabi Haifa in the play-off round.

The single-leg tie at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium kicks-off at 8pm (UK).

Here’s a run-down of all the key information you need to know...

How can I watch the game?

Premier Sports are showing the match live in the UK, kick-off 8pm.

Coverage begins on Premier Sports 1 at 7.30pm.

Premier Sports is available via Sky, Virgin TV and the Premier Player. A list of international broadcasters covering tonight’s game can be found here.

A reminder that our popular live matchday show from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, N17 Live, is available to watch for free online, across social media and on the Spurs Official app from 45 minutes before the game starts (7.15pm UK) with all the build-up from inside the stadium.

You can also follow the action during the game on Club channels via our live Match Centre, complete with live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats. The Match Centre is available on the Spurs Official app and here on tottenhamhotspur.com.

In addition, our matchday family party toolkit remains available to download, featuring printable posters, recipes, games and more, helping you to make the most of our matchdays at home.

How will the teams line up?

Jose Mourinho has no fresh injury concerns in the wake of Tuesday night’s victory over Chelsea on penalties in the Carabao Cup.

However, Heung-Min Son remains sidelined with a hamstring problem picked up against Newcastle United at the weekend.

Gareth Bale is also unavailable for selection tonight as he continues to build up his fitness.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Tonight’s match officials are from France. Ruddy Buquet takes charge as the man in the middle, assisted by Guillaume Debart and Cyril Gringore. Amaury Delerue serves as the fourth official.

After playing our first two Europa League qualifiers in our yellow third kit, we’re set to play in our traditional all-white European home kit tonight.

Our goalkeeper will be in orange.

Maccabi Haifa, meanwhile, play in all green, with their goalkeeper set to be in purple.

What will the weather be like?

It’s set to be cloudy and breezy with a chance of rain in north London tonight. Temperatures are forecast to be around 12 degrees at kick-off.

How will the match be decided?

Again, it’s a single-leg tie, so we must have a winner this evening, with extra time and penalties coming into play if required to decide who goes through. The winners will advance to the group stage of the competition.
