The Club will be paying its respects to those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in armed conflict ahead of Sunday’s home match with Brighton & Hove Albion.

A minute’s silence will be observed prior to kick-off, during which the Last Post will be played live from within the stadium by Corporal (Retired RAF) Andrew John Lofthouse, former Principal Trumpet of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force.

The lifelong Spurs fan performed during the final Remembrance service held at White Hart Lane in 2016, as well as the first at our new stadium a year ago.

Unfortunately, due to the Premier League’s current COVID-19 protocols, we are unable to be joined by further members of our armed forces during the service.

Instead, a special tribute to serving members of our Armed Forces Spurs Supporters Club will be featured on our giant screens during the minute’s silence.

Armed Forces Spurs is our Official Supporters’ Club for army, marines, navy and RAF personnel throughout the world.

This year, many of its 214 members have been directly and indirectly engaged in a wide range of activities in support of the national fight against COVID-19, both in the UK, overseas territories, and bases across the world.

These range from armed forces medical professionals working alongside civilian counterparts and public services creating nearly 100 mobile testing units, to national logistics and distribution efforts and engineering work required to set up NHS Nightingale and other hospitals around the UK.

Earlier this week, Joe Hart and Gary Mabbutt took part in a video call with Armed Forces Spurs members, highlights of which will air during the N17 Live broadcast ahead of Sunday’s match. N17 Live is available to watch for free across our social media platforms, tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app in the build-up to every home match.

The players will wear shirts emblazoned with the Poppy, both this Sunday and for next weekend’s visit to West Bromwich Albion. Our Women’s team will also wear Poppy shirts when they host Reading in the WSL on the new date of Saturday 7 November.

All match-worn shirts will be signed and auctioned following the matches to raise funds for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Meanwhile, Gary Mabbutt will be attending the London Borough of Haringey Remembrance Service on behalf of the Club.

Poppy Pin Badges

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Royal British Legion have only been able to provide an extremely limited supply of our dual-branded Poppy pin badges this year and they are now sold out.

We apologise for any disappointment caused for fans unable to purchase their pin badge this year and encourage anyone wishing to make a contribution to this year’s Poppy appeal to do so via www.britishlegion.org.uk

The Royal British Legion is the country’s largest Armed Forces charity, providing lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.
