Old Trafford must have felt like Heung-Min Son’s ‘Theatre of Dreams’ growing up in South Korea - dreams very much became reality on Sunday.

Sonny scored twice in a landmark 6-1 victory over Manchester United, our biggest win at Old Trafford and the eighth time we’ve hit six-plus in the Premier League’s 28-year history.

Harry Kane also hit a double, with Tanguy Ndombele and Serge Aurier completing the scoring as we came back from conceding penalty inside the first minute to dominate.

Standing pitchside after the game, Sonny explained how he used to watch Ji-Sung Park, a hero of South Korea football, capped 100 times by his country, during his trophy-laden spell at United between 2005-10 - seven years that included four titles and the Champions League.

“It’s amazing, amazing,” said Sonny, taking it all in. “As a kid, you grew up watching this stadium. For me, especially, because Ji-Sung Park was playing here. Naturally, you watched so many games for United.

“Now to beat them 6-1 in this stadium is incredible. I’m really proud of the team, proud for myself, what can I say? This performance, this result... I’m buzzing, buzzing.”

It was the clinical nature of the performance that impressed. Trailing early, we were soon level and ahead on seven minutes, created chances and when Anthony Martial was sent off, quickly added goals three and four before half-time.

“We had to be clinical, score the goals, assists, and that’s what we did,” added Sonny. “We were so, so clinical. We were unselfish and that’s what we need for the team.

“I’m so happy that I assisted to Harry as well, because I feel a little pressure because he gave me so many assists (Harry provided all four assists to Sonny’s quartet at Southampton, and another at Old Trafford)! We won the game, and I’m buzzing to get three points here at Old Trafford.”

Speaking straight down the camera, Sonny then gave this message to our fans. “Obviously, I’m really, really sad that you guys aren’t here, but in my mind, in my heart, I’m still celebrating with you guys. I’m buzzing and feeling amazing.”
