Spurs Women quartet set for international duty

Fri 20 November 2020, 14:00|Tottenham Hotspur

The Club’s WSL Academy player Esther Morgan has received her first senior call-up to the Wales National Team and will join Spurs Women captain Josie Green on camp for their final UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 qualifier against Belarus.

Esther, who was an unused substitute in our recent games against Bristol City in the league and Arsenal in the Continental League Cup, has previously represented her country at youth level and captained the Wales Under-19 squad in the UEFA Women’s Euro qualifying round last year.

Sadly, Anna Filbey misses out on international duty with Wales, having picked up an ankle injury in our defeat against Arsenal in the league last month.

After making her long-awaited debut for the Club in our 1-1 draw with Reading almost a fortnight ago, her first competitive match in over a year, Alex Morgan joins up with the U.S. Women’s National Team for their training camp and friendly in the Netherlands, having not played a match for her country since the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup final.

Hannah Godfrey retains her place in the Scotland Women’s National Team for their upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 qualifiers against Portugal and Finland.
