Spurs v Ludogorets – how to watch, team news, key information

Thu 26 November 2020, 11:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Bulgarian side Ludogorets are the visitors to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening as we return to action in the UEFA Europa League.

We’re top of Group J going into matchday four, narrowly ahead of Royal Antwerp and LASK, both of whom, like us, have six points. Ludogorets are the only side in the group yet to get off the mark.

As an added point of interest, we’ve never before played a Bulgarian side at home – our previous two meetings with Bulgarian opponents both came away and both took place this season, against Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the qualifying rounds of this competition and then the initial match against Ludogorets in the group stage earlier this month.

Ahead of the 8pm kick-off (UK time), here’s all the key information you need to know about the match...

How can I watch the game?

Thursday’s match is being shown live on BT Sport 2 in the UK. You can find full worldwide broadcast listings here.

Remember, you can also follow the action via our live Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, with live text and audio commentary, goal alerts and stats at your fingertips.

Plus, don’t forget to tune in to N17 Live, our exclusive pre-match show from inside the stadium, to get closer to the action on Thursday evening. On air and available to watch for free across our social media platforms, here on tottenhamhotspur.com and on the Spurs Official app from 6.30pm until 7.10pm, this must-see show includes Toby Alderweireld joining us via Zoom, along with breaking team news and an exclusive interview with Lucas Moura!

How will the teams line up?

Matt Doherty is back in the frame after testing positive for coronavirus while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland earlier this month, but fellow defender Toby Alderweireld is set to miss the match after being forced off against Manchester City at the weekend with a groin problem.

Erik Lamela is not yet ready to return, while Joe Rodon, Gedson Fernandes and Paulo Gazzaniga are ineligible.

Jose Mourinho indicated in his pre-match press conference that Ben Davies is in line to feature, having been an unused substitute against City.

Winger Kiril Despodov and centre-back Josué Sá are absent through injury for Ludogorets.

Who is the referee and what colours will the teams be playing in?

Thursday’s match officials are from Georgia. Giorgi Kruashvili takes charge as the man in the middle, with Levan Varamishvili and Zaza Pipia serving as his assistants. The fourth official is Georgi Vadachkoria.

Once again, we’ll be in our traditional all-white European strip, with our goalkeeper clad in orange.

Ludogorets will play in all green, with their goalkeeper in yellow.

How can I get the matchday programme?

Printed copies of our official matchday programme are available to order and have delivered direct to your door, ensuring you don’t miss out on your regular matchday reading with the game being played behind closed doors.

Lucas Moura is the subject of our main interview in Thursday’s edition, which is priced at the usual £3.50. Order yours in the post now or subscribe so you never miss an issue.

What will the weather be like?

It’s expected to be a bright, sunny day with light winds in north London on Thursday, although temperatures are set to drop to five degrees come kick-off time at 8pm.
