18-82 Q&A - Lucas: 'It's not difficult for me to cry!'

Mon 25 May 2020, 13:52|Tottenham Hotspur

Using the year of the Club’s formation as inspiration, we continue our Q&A feature where we ask our players to choose 18 lifestyle questions from a selection of 82. Today it’s the turn of Brazilian forward Lucas Moura...

1 – What keeps you going through the tough times?

Lucas: “When I see my family, my kids or when I’m at home with my friends having a barbeque, then I’m happy.”

2 – What advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?

Lucas: “I would say to enjoy every minute with your family and friends and always give your best – and never give up.”

3 – When was the last time you cried?

Lucas: “That would be when my second child was born, 19 September last year. It’s not difficult for me to cry though, I’m an emotional man!”

4 – What do you remember about your Spurs debut?

Lucas: “I played a few minutes off the bench against Juventus in the Champions League (the 2-2 draw away, 13 February, 2017), that was a beautiful feeling, but my first start was against Rochdale (FA Cup, 18 February, 2017). That was special because before I arrived at Spurs, it was tough at PSG and I hadn’t scored for a long time so when I did score against Rochdale, that was a great moment.”

5 – How do you like your eggs?

Lucas: “I like an omelette.”

6 – What is the best advice you have ever been given?

Lucas: “Never get tired of doing good things for people.”

7 – What is the best goal ever?

Lucas: “So many goals... but I like Zinedine Zidane’s goal in the Champions League Final (a left-foot volley for Real Madrid against Bayer Leverkusen at Hampden Park, 2002).”

8 – Tell us a secret…

Lucas: “I am very bad in the kitchen. I don’t know how to cook.”

9 – Did you ever have a job outside of football?

Lucas: “No, I’ve played football all my life.”

10 – What group on WhatsApp do you use the most?

Lucas: “My family in Brazil, my parents, my brother, I speak to them every day, my friends in Brazil as well.”

Lucas loves a treble!

All of the Brazilian's career hat-tricks...

11 – What reminds you of home?

Lucas: “Having a barbeque, because when I am home in Brazil, almost every day it’s beautiful weather, 50 people around my home, we play cards, listen to music, happy days...”

12 – What word do you use the most?

Lucas: “I think maybe there are three words – ‘God bless you’.”

13 – What is your guilty pleasure?

Lucas: “I would say chocolate. Popcorn as well. I love popcorn.”

14 – What would the first track be on your all-time playlist?

Lucas: “It’s Brazilian, ‘Deixa Eu Ir a Luta’ by Cancao de Art Popular. Translated, it means ‘Let me go to fight’.”

15 – Do you have a nickname?

Lucas: “In the Club, no, but outside the Club, when I played for Sao Paulo back home in Brazil, the fans there called me ‘a Coruja’ (Lucas types into a search) – ‘the Owl’. I don’t know why!”

16 – Describe the way you dance?

Lucas: “Really, really, really bad! I want to know how to dance, but I don’t know how.”

17 – What is your favourite cheese?

Lucas: “I love mozzarella.”

18 – What is your proudest achievement?

Lucas: “There are different things but, for sure, becoming a parent is a huge thing, a big responsibility. Also, becoming a footballer, that was my dream.”
