Sonny’s goal shortlisted for Premier League monthly prize

Heung-Min Son’s wonderful solo effort in our 5-0 win against Burnley has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Budweiser Goal of the Month award for December.
Picking up the ball just outside our area, Son worked his way forward, put the burners on and eventually finished off a stunning goal at the other end in front of our iconic single-tier South Stand at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Our fans this week named the strike as our Goal of the Decade after a social media poll.
It’s one of eight goals to have been nominated for the Premier League award, with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Rodri of Manchester City, Liverpool’s Xherdan Shaqiri, Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, Southampton’s Michael Obafemi, Jordan Ayew of Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Aaron Mooy also in the running with their respective efforts over the course of last month.
