Jose Mourinho talks positivity, Tanguy Ndombele, Heung-Min Son and Norwich City in his latest five-point preview ahead of this evening's Premier League clash against the Canaries at the new stadium (7.30pm).

1 - Positive vibes

Jose told us that the players feel confident ahead of tonight's match against Norwich...

Jose: "Yes, I think we do. That’s the feeling. Three positive performances without the results we deserve, I believe. We deserved more from Liverpool, we deserved more from the Watford game, we deserved a different score against Middlesbrough (FA Cup replay). It’s a week with positive performances and a good feeling around the place. The players are good, confident, we worked well yesterday (Monday) and today (Tuesday), I think we are ready. Let’s go."

2 - Tanguy

Tanguy Ndombele is back in training and Jose was asked in his pre-match press conference if the midfielder was ready for a run of games...

Jose: "We know what he can give to the team. If I focus on the few matches he played for us, I saw qualities that are very important for a team that wants to play like we do. Last week he worked on individual work with fitness coaches to bring his level up, then he was integrated with the team without any kind of problem. Hopefully, it’s a good start for him."

3 - Sonny

Jose was also asked in his press conference about Heung-Min Son's form...

Jose: "He’s a fantastic player, a fantastic boy, great professional, he’s the kind of player that even if he doesn’t score goals, he’s good for the team. There are some kind of strikers that if they score, they are brilliant, but if they don’t score, they give nothing to the team. He gives us so much, even if he doesn’t score, that I’m not so worried about it."

4 - Norwich

Ahead of our match at Carrow Road last month, Jose described Norwich as 'arrogant in the good sense of the word, the arrogance I like' - what is he expecting from Daniel Farke's team this evening?

Jose: "Norwich know their situation is hard and about winning matches and that is their mentality. They will come to win. They had a positive experience against us a few weeks ago where they got a result and gave us a difficult match and they will also come to us pretty confident after a very important victory against Bournemouth. They play well, they are a good team, a style of play that is good. The full-backs are good, they attack, the wingers come to the inside, they also have a very good inside game, the striker looks for that ball all the time and in the face of the goalkeeper, he’s very cool. I like the team and when I say I’m confident about us, it’s just that I’m confident about us, not that I’m expecting an easy match from them."

5 - A big week?

Finally, we asked Jose if it felt like a big week for us with Norwich at home this evening and then the FA Cup fourth round at Southampton on Saturday...

Jose: "Two very difficult matches after Watford. We need to win against Norwich. It’s not going to be easy but when you look to the table, if you don’t want to stay in the middle, we need these three points to have a push. Then, of course, the cup is the cup and a defeat means we’re out, so it’s very important that we try to win at Southampton. If we have to take a draw and play at home, for the supporters, it will not be bad news because they will enjoy another match at home, like they did against Middlesbrough."
