Hugo joins 250 club - fourth on our all-time keepers' list

Mon 24 February 2020, 16:21|Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris became only the fourth goalkeeper in the Club's history to register over 250 league matches for us when he stepped out at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The skipper joins Pat Jennings, Ted Ditchburn and Ian Walker in going past that milestone figure.

The French international joined us from Lyon in August, 2012. He made his Spurs debut in the Europa League against Lazio in September, 2012 and made his league bow in a 2-0 win against Villa on 7 October, 2012. Brad Friedel played four more league games before Hugo took over the number one slot - and he's been there since, racking up 314 appearances in all competitions to date.

Pat tops the list with 472 league appearances between 1964-1977 and is third on our all-time appearance list with 590 in all competitions. Hugo is also up to fourth in that list, edging past Ian Walker with his 314th appearance for us on Saturday.
